A founding partner of Golkow Hessel, LLC, Jim Golkow has more than 20 years experience as a trial lawyer. He has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts, including cases in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Virginia, Vermont and Puerto Rico. Jim concentrates his practice representing victims of accidents in personal injury and subrogation matters, particularly cases involving defective products, motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.

Mr. Golkow serves as a judge pro tem and arbitrator in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. He has also been a speaker at a series of Continuing Legal Education seminars. He has authored numerous articles on tort-related topics. He is AV peer-review rated by Martindale Hubbell for his high ethical standards and preeminent legal ability. He has been named on multiple occasions a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer," including in 2008 and 2009, appearing in Philadelphia magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization reserved for trial lawyers who have obtained seven figure verdicts or settlements on behalf of their clients.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Golkow is a 1983 cum laude graduate from Temple University. He earned his law degree, cum laude, at Delaware Law School of Widener University in 1986, where he was an editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Mr. Golkow is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also achieved pro hac vice status in jurisdictions throughout the country.
